No, the Recovery Suit® for dogs and cats are different in shape and especially designed for the anatomy of a dog or cat. The Recovery Suit® for cats has a bigger opening under the tail so the Suit can stay on while using the litter tray.

Yes, the Recovery Suit® is washable on a maximum of 90ºC/194ºF. Most pet owners buy 2 Suits so they can wash one. We advise to follow the washing instructions below:

• Always turn inside out for washing.
• Fasten all the press studs before washing.
• We recommend using a laundry bag.
• Wash the Recovery Suit® up to a maximum of 90ºC/194ºF.
• Never put the Recovery Suit® in the dryer! Hang it out and let it air dry.
• Do not iron directly over the print and never too hot.
• Do not use bleach or other chemicals to clean the Recovery Suit®.

This is possible. Suitical products are not made from Kevlar, because we prioritize breathability for your pet's comfort. When animals feel uncomfortable, they can chew, bite or lick the affected area. Fortunately, most pets accept wearing the Recovery Suit® and don’t do anything with it. Also, because we use very high-end fabrics, the fabric will not tear easily.

If there is a hole on the belly side, which then must be large enough to fit all the breeds, the pet can still get to, lick or scratch the wound. Moreover, the surgical area is often located near the urination area. The risk of getting a wound infection is also higher with a hole at the belly part of the suit. There is already extra space around the belly part to help circulate air for a faster recovery. The Recovery Suit® can be easily opened for taking the dog for a walk. The suit can be rolled up inside and secured to the chest with a press stud. After a walk, it is important to check the surgery area. For the best protection, the suit must always be closed again after a check or a walk outside.

We have Recovery Suits for dogs and cats. For dogs you can choose for black, camouflage blue or pink. For cats the Recovery Suit® is available in black camouflage and tiger print.

Yes, most of the time dogs and cats tolerate the Suit. It’s the same as using a onesie or T-shirt except that the Recovery Suit® is special equipped and made for animals offering pet owners a one stop solution for their pets. Some cats are really athletic and can manage to get out of the Suit. For those cats it can be made more difficult when the loops inside the collar of the Suit are fitted to a collar. Also, it’s important to choose the right size for the cat. Better a little bit smaller than easy fitted. The stretch fabric of the Suit is made for this. Special attention is always needed when a wound is irritating. The animal might try to scratch, lick and sometimes bite around the wound. We recommend keeping your pet under supervision of a responsible adult at all times while using this product.

No, you do not have to wash the Recovery Suit® before first use. However, in case of open wounds, please contact your veterinarian to seek advice first.

The Recovery Suit® is made of 94% Organic Cotton and 6% Lycra. Because of these components it is breathable and comfortable and can be worn all day, when taking the below recommendations in account. When worn for a longer period of time, the Recovery Suit® will need to be washed regularly. To ensure that your pet remains protected, two Recovery Suits are often purchased. While one Suit can be washed, the other can be worn. When your pet needs to wear the Recovery Suit® longer than a week, it’s always better to have a back-up Suit! Please consult your veterinarian when you want to use this product for medical purposes. Your veterinarian can recommend a suitable treatment. Keep your pet under supervision of a responsible adult at all times while using the Recovery Suit® and check the affected area regularly. Please consult your veterinarian if your pet’s behavior is changing or when your pet has excessive licking/chewing habits. Leaving your pet unsupervised wearing a Recovery Suit® is a decision only a pet owner can make after careful consideration of their unique situation, and we can’t advise on.

The fabric wrinkles due to the evaporation and cooling in the vest. As soon as the fabric is smooth again, you could refill it with water.

If the cooling effect diminishes, you can refill the vest with fresh water. Squeeze out all excess water. If the fabric is smooth again, you can refill the vest with water. We recommend controlling the amount of water after 1,5 day.

No, do not put the DRY® Cooling Vest in the refrigerator or freezer. Thanks to the professional cooling technology, hot outside air evaporates the water in the vest. Thanks to the evaporation, the cooling starts. In this way, the vest will cool your dog gradually, contrary to cooling products which you should put in the refrigerator or freezer. The DRY® Cooling Vest provides gradually and continuously cooling.

Dependent on humidity, the vest will stay cool during approximately 2 days.

Consult the sizing guide for the amount of water needed. Make sure to gently squeeze out all excess water. The vest will not cool faster or better with more water. On the contrary, if you add too much water, evaporation will be hindered. If you use the right amount of water, your dog can immediately feel the cooling effect.

No, absolutely not. The temperature in a car will rise very quickly. That is why you should never leave your dog alone in a car, even not while wearing the DRY® Cooling Vest.

Yes, this is possible. Thanks to the professional cooling technology, there is less risk of developing hypo or hyperthermia. However, we recommend using the vest when cooling is required, for example during and after a walk. Moreover, we advise keeping your dog under supervision of a responsible adult at all times while using the DRY® Cooling Vest.

Yes, this is possible. Just make sure to put the harness over the DRY® Cooling Vest, never underneath. Adjust the straps of the harness if necessary to create a comfortable fit.
