After a medical procedure, such as spaying or when stitches are needed around the torso, the Recovery Suit® offers optimal protection. Unlike a traditional collar, the suit directly covers the sensitive areas, keeping them safe from external irritants or dirt. When your cat has a wound or stitches, it’s important to check and clean them regularly. Both you and your veterinarian can quickly and easily put the suit on and take it off. Proper airflow is provided due to it's breathable cotton material which is crucial for a swift and safe healing process.
Note: Since the suit is designed to allow cats to use the litter box, the surgical area after neutering/castration remains unprotected. Therefore, the Recovery Suit® Cat is not suitable for use after this procedure in tomcats (male cats).

The Recovery Suit® should fit like a second skin—not too tight, but certainly not too loose! A proper fit ensures your cat cannot reach sensitive areas. Measure your cat from the neck to the base of the tail and check the size chart to find the right fit. If your cat falls between two sizes, always choose the smaller one. Also, consider your cat's amount of hair and body shape for the best fit.

My almost 6-month-old girls were spayed, and I bought these suits because collars are just so impractical. I really appreciate the extra snap buttons, which help adjust the fit perfectly around the legs. The neck was a bit snug, but I stretched it out before use. Both cats can use the litter box without any issues. I’d definitely recommend these suits over a collar for recovery!

No, the Recovery Suit® for dogs and cats is different and specifically designed to fit the unique anatomy of each animal. The solid black and. blue & pink camouflage suits are made for dogs, while the black camouflage and tiger print versions are designed for cats. The cat suit features a larger opening under the tail, allowing it to stay on during litter box use.

Yes, most cats tolerate the Recovery Suit®. However, cats may need a little more time to adjust, so be patient and give them that opportunity. We recommend practicing with the suit about a week before the procedure. It’s similar to a bodysuit or shirt, but specifically designed and equipped for cats. We provide pet owners with a quick and easy recovery solution.
Some cats are very flexible and may try to wriggle out of the suit. For these cats, you can use the loops inside the collar to attach it to their regular collar for extra security. Additionally, choosing the correct size is essential. Since sizes overlap, we recommend selecting the smaller size when in doubt. The stretch fabric allows for a snug and comfortable fit.
Keep in mind that special attention is needed if a wound is causing irritation. In such cases, a cat may try to scratch, lick, or even bite around the affected area.
No, you don’t need to wash the Recovery Suit® before first use. However, if your pet has open wounds, always consult your veterinarian first.

This combination ensures comfort and a breathable design, allowing the suit to be worn all day, provided it is washed regularly and your cat is always supervised by a responsible adult while wearing it. Additionally, monitor your pet regularly and check that the fit is secure but not too tight. If your pet’s behavior changes or they exhibit excessive licking or chewing, consult your veterinarian.
