Choose comfort, love, and freedom!

This single sleeve is perfect for:

Alternative to the cone

A stress-free alternative to the traditional cone, allowing your dog to move, eat, and rest comfortably without restrictions.

Wounds & sutures

Provides gentle protection to healing wounds and stitches, preventing licking, biting, and contamination for a smooth recovery.

Bandages & ointments

Keeps bandages and topical treatments securely in place, protecting them from being scratched off or licked away by your furry friend.

Skin conditions, hot spots & overgrooming

Helps cover sensitive or irritated skin, reducing exposure to external triggers while allowing proper airflow for healing. Discourages excessive licking, scratching, and biting of the legs, helping to manage hot spots, rashes, irritated skin, and overgrooming habits while supporting faster recovery.

In case of anxiety

The Recovery Sleeve® feature an adjustable closure and soft stretch band, offering a gentle pressure around your dog’s chest. This gentle pressure ensures a secure fit while also providing a calming effect on most dogs, making it perfect for post-surgery recovery or reduce stress-related anxiety behaviors.

Protecting IV-lines

Acts as a barrier to prevent dogs licking, biting or scratching IV-lines, ensuring medical treatments remain undisturbed.

Features of the Recovery Sleeve®

Interchangeable left/right leg

The Recovery Sleeve® is designed to be perfectly symmetrical, allowing it to fit your dog’s left or right front leg with ease. Simply slip the “injured” leg into the sleeve, while the other front leg comfortably fits through the opposite opening. Whether it’s left or right, we’ve got your furry friend covered!

► How to put the sleeve on?

Adjustable with press studs

While it’s nearly impossible for your dog to remove the Recovery Sleeve®, it’s designed for easy and time-saving use by pet owners and veterinarians. The combination of durable press studs and an inner Velcro® layer ensures the sleeve stay securely in place. We recommend always using at least two rows of press studs for the best fit. You can recognize an original Suitical Recovery Sleeve® by one teal press stud!

Soft bands and long sleeve

The Recovery Sleeve® features extra-soft and thick bands around the chest and front leg. This elastic and protective finish prevents chafing, friction, and pressure on the skin, even during extended wear. If the sleeve is too long, you can simply fold it up.

Find the perfect fit!

The Recovery Sleeve® should fit like a second skin — comfy and snug, but never too tight!

Measure the chest circumference around the widest part of the chest, usually behind the front legs.

Measure the leg length: start from the armpit on the inside and extend the measurement tape down to the wrist (ankle) joint of your dog’s front leg.

If your dog falls between two sizes, we suggest going with the smaller size. Fur, weight, and body shape can make a difference in the size needed.

Our Labradoodle had an IV placed during his last vet visit and kept licking the shaved area nonstop. He quickly turned it into a wound, so we needed a good way to prevent it from getting worse. We alternated between this front leg sleeve and a soft cone. I highly recommend this sleeve—it’s so much easier than using bandages!

My Husky HATES wearing a cone, whether it’s plastic or inflatable. I bought this sleeve after he had a massive lump removed near his elbow/armpit—and he loves it! He barely seems to notice he’s wearing it. Best of all, he’s leaving his stitches alone and healing well!

CherryBomb

Today, I had a lump removed from my left front leg. Since I can’t handle wearing a cone, my owner got me a Suitical front leg sleeve to keep me from biting my wound. But she keeps calling me The One-Armed Bandit…

Frequently asked questions

Can the Recovery Sleeve® also be used for the hind legs?

No, that is not possible. The Recovery Sleeve® is specifically designed for one of a dog's front legs.

What material is the Recovery Sleeve® made of?

It is made of 97% cotton and 3% Invista Lycra®, ensuring a snug and comfortable fit.

Can the Recovery Sleeve® be used without bandages, wraps, or casts?

Yes, the Recovery Sleeve® can also be used for protection after applying ointment to pressure sores or to prevent excessive licking.

Can dogs tear or bite through the Recovery Sleeve®?

This is always possible, the Recovery Sleeve® is not made of Kevlar. Fortunately, most pets accept wearing it and do not try to damage it. If your dog excessively licks the sleeve, you can place a pad inside to keep the wound dry and protected. Always keep your dog under supervision.
